Mobile success?

Having come across too many posts, tweets etc.  that talk about the future of mobile. I have a quick thought

I agree there is a future there. No doubt. But the is it going to be driven by content?

Is it just me or is it fairly obvious that the answer is no.

The people who own the networks don’t make content. They make money from the platform; the delivery of data. Data doesn’t equate to content.

If the future is mobile prepare for more of the* ‘content providers should contribute to bandwidth’ *stories.

Or am I just slow.
